Narobuy exists because most “best kettle in Pakistan” pages are marketplace text with a new heading. The voltage is wrong. The water is imaginary. The photograph is a studio that does not match a Tuesday kitchen in Lahore, Karachi, or a rented flat in Islamabad. We got tired of that, so we built a short shop with four aisles: tea and coffee, kitchen tools, home organisation, and personal care.
We are not Daraz. We are not Telemart. We are not a mall with a search bar and ten thousand SKUs. When you click View on Daraz or View on Telemart, you leave this site. How we pick a product
We start with a job, not a catalogue. Boil water after load-shedding. Keep moths out of daal through monsoon. Hang kameez so they stay put on a thin rod. Dry a towel overnight in a bathroom with no exhaust. Then we look at what you can actually buy in Pakistan on 220–240V, with hard water, in a house that will not let you drill twelve holes.
A product that only exists as a studio photograph does not get a page. A 40-piece tool tree you will use three pieces of does not get a page. A suction caddy that will fall off Pakistani tiles at 6am does not get a page — except as a warning. We would rather publish twenty original verdicts than two hundred pasted listings.
How a verdict is written
Each product page is reported copy: who it is for, who should skip it, what we liked, what we did not, specs we could verify, a Pakistan note (voltage, water, warranty, load-shedding), and questions we actually hear. Ratings on the page are editorial scores from that use, not scraped star averages from a marketplace. When a number of “reviews” is shown, it is our count of notes we trust, not a scraped total we cannot defend.
We use our own kitchens and bathrooms. We descale kettles in Lahore water. We hang towels in rooms that do not dry 800 GSM hotel bricks. We measure palang height before we praise an under-bed bag. That is not a laboratory with a white coat. It is the only test that matches how you will live with the object.
Who writes this
Pages are signed as Narobuy editors — a small desk in Pakistan, not a content farm. We do not outsource verdicts to a writer who has never boiled doodh patti on a gas burner. We do not translate foreign “best of” lists and swap in rupees. If a sentence could have been written in Ohio about a 110V jug, it does not belong here.
Corrections beat compliments. If a spec is wrong, a link is dead, or a kettle failed in week two, write to us. We would rather amend a page than defend a stale price.
Own stock, labelled
A few pieces — the cable box, the terracotta-hem kitchen cloths — are goods we sell ourselves. Those cards say Narobuy own stock. They never hide inside the affiliate grid. Until checkout on this site is live, the Buy from Narobuy button opens the contact form so we can reserve a pack. That is clumsy. It is also honest. We will not pretend a cart exists when it does not.
What we will not do
- Scrape Daraz or Telemart descriptions and republish them as a “review.”
- Invent six hundred reviews we do not have.
- Promise a miracle cream, a ranking we were paid to lock, or a price that is not on the partner page.
- Fulfil, cancel, or refund a partner order. That contract is yours with them.
- Operate a public retail counter. Email is the desk. Pakistan is the beat.
